How to calculate melanosporum truffle portions?
A good portion of truffle for any recipe can be considered 10/15 grams per person. Thus, a 25 gr truffle would be enough for 2 people, a 50 gr truffle for 3-4 people and a 75 or 100 gr truffle for a meal for 6/8 people.
Of course, these are estimated quantities that depend a lot on the quantity to be used and the number of dishes in which we are going to grate or laminate it.
Price of the black truffle
The price of the black truffle varies every season and also varies depending on the time of the season. Thus, from November to mid-December, demand begins and its price is medium-low. It is in mid-December, with the beginning of the Christmas holidays, when it reaches its highest price of the season.
It is in January when the black winter truffle reaches its optimum ripening point. In addition, it usually coincides with the minimum prices of the whole season. It is in January when the black truffle has the best quality-price ratio.
