Opinel presents a new knife of its No. 08 prepared for outdoor use , sports at sea and in the mountains
The knife ideal for hiking, mountaineering, canyoning, caving, paragliding, sailing and water sports. The blade is made of Swedish Sandvik stainless steel with a thickness of 2.5 mm. and brings two novelties in the knives of this brand, which are a partially serrated edge (for cutting rope and ribbons) and the slot that helps the opening serves as a key for shackles from 4 to 10 mm.
The handle, available in blue, orange, green and gray , is bi-material, made of polyamide with glass fiber and polyamide elastomer, which makes it resistant to temperatures from -40 to 80°C and to humidity.
It incorporates in the lower part of the handle an emergency whistle with a whistle with a power of 110 dB.
