To the original guide to lichens, mosses and liverworts by Wirth and Düll, the Spanish authors have added 234 species, 133 lichens and 101 bryophytes, important or especially emblematic in the Iberian flora. Thus, 288 lichens and 226 mosses, liverworts and anthocerotes are photographed and described in the book. The species have been grouped in a simple way according to their resemblance, based on characters easy to appreciate with the naked eye or with a magnifying glass.
