<p>The aim of this book is to introduce the reader to the fascinating world of mycology, that is, mushrooms and their environment. Inside are illustrated with a multitude of photographs, the most representative species of the Valencian Country, their culinary, ecological, toxicological and even psychotropic properties. This volume is not intended to be a catalog of edible mushrooms, since nowadays it is relatively easy to obtain these products in specialized stores, but to help the reader to identify the most interesting species, both those that can be eaten and those that cannot. Nor does it intend to be a guide to the depredation of our forests, but to contribute to the dissemination of knowledge about our natural environment. Only by knowing it will we be able to understand, appreciate and love it.
