It contains 50 units of Hericium erinaceus (Lion's Mane) mycelium pellets, 8.5 mm in diameter, ready to be inserted into logs.
You should drill holes in the log, insert the pellets, and ideally seal them with wax to protect the mycelium from drying out and from insects.
Freshly cut hardwood logs such as oak, beech, chestnut, or walnut are recommended. Avoid resinous woods like pine.
The incubation period usually lasts between 6 and 12 months, depending on the hardness of the wood and environmental conditions of humidity and temperature.
