A bag sealer is a device used to hermetically seal plastic bags or similar materials. It works by applying heat to the open edges of the bag, fusing them together to create an airtight seal.
Mushroom cultivation requires a sterile environment. A bag sealer hermetically seals the bags containing the substrate, reducing the risk of contamination by unwanted spores or bacteria.
Mushrooms require a specific level of humidity to grow. Sealed bags help maintain this humidity at an optimal level, promoting healthy growth. Sealed bags are easier to handle and transport, limiting direct contact with the substrate and therefore the risk of contamination.
This sealer measures 40 cm, which corresponds to the maximum width of the bags it can seal.
