MoVa steel
This alloy of Spanish origin has superior qualities , since it has a substantial concentration of molybdenum and vanadium , which gives it a hardness of 57-61HRC according to the Rockwell Scale. Another property of this material is its resistance to high temperatures and to oxidation caused by ferrous oxide.
MoVa stainless steel has an exact composition of 0.53% carbon, 0.50% manganese, 0.35% silicon, 14.50% chromium, 0.50% molybdenum and 0.18% vanadium, which gives it an excellent performance in the maintenance and retention of the cutting edge, as well as in obtaining a great profile for hunting cuts.
Handle
The designers of Muela have integrated in this product a high resistance handle made of wood , a material that is formed through the superposition of layers of wood pressed with epoxy resin. These layers are then bundled and fixed through a high pressure process .
This type of handle makes the Grizzly an ideal knife for continuous use over long periods of time , since the Wood has as its main qualities its hardness and resistance to corrosion, extreme temperatures and impacts by collision against objects. The color of the handle finish is brown.
Blade
The profile used on the steel blade is Drop Point , which is a very practical and popular shape , ideal for hunting knives or knives that are to be used in the bush. The straight edge has a marked belly for deep and long cuts , making it a very versatile style.
