MICOKIT GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

  • Place your poplar mushroom micokit in a cool place, between 15º and 20ºC, with some light. This species slows down the growth of mushrooms at low temperatures, so an ideal temperature would be 18ºC. The place should have some light, avoiding direct sun. Do not place it near the radiator or any other heat source.
  • Cut the top of the bag 3 cm above the substrate.
  • Scrape the upper part of the substrate with a fork in different directions all over its surface, to favor the appearance of the first mushrooms.
  • Place on top of the bag a protective plastic sheet to protect the growth of the first fructifications. It is important to remove the plastic in a few days so as not to hinder the growth of the mushrooms.
  • Water with a sprayer with water every day to keep the top of the substrate constantly wet.
  • The bag will be ready to harvest after 15 to 25 days.
  • Remove the mushrooms trying not to damage the substrate and cover the bag again with the plastic bag. Continue watering the substrate daily to obtain a second bloom
  • To increase production after the second bloom, you can cover the substrate with 2 or 3 cm of moistened garden peat
  • The final production of mushrooms from each micokit will depend on the conditions in which it has been cultivated, producing between 800 gr and 1.5 kg in normal conditions

Download the cultivation instructions in the attached documents tab. In 20 days you can harvest your first poplar mushrooms !
